In caring for the well-being of the community, NKF organised its first Mass Health Screening and Awareness Day on 24 May at its headquarters. The day was buzzing with a hive of activities where close to 1,000 people from all walks of life participated in free kidney health screenings, health talks, exercise sessions, a healthy cooking demonstration and tours of our Kim Keat Dialysis Centre. There were educational health booths on kidney disease prevention and
peritoneal dialysis (home-based treatment), engaging participants in fun and interactive learning. We hope that the meaningful event motivated participants to take charge of their health as well as spread the message of staying healthy to their family and friends.
