Mr Lek is a lawyer and a Senior Partner in the law firm of Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP, Singapore’s oldest law firm.
He has been in legal practice since 1989, and currently handles contentious civil and commercial dispute cases. He represents companies and individuals, medical defence organisations, healthcare institutions and professionals, and insurance companies in the course of his work. He has acted as counsel in State Court and High Court trials, as well as appeals to the High Court and Court of Appeal. He has also appeared as counsel in coroner’s inquiries and disciplinary proceedings before the Singapore Medical Council and the Singapore Dental Council.
Mr Lek is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore. He is currently an accredited specialist mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Centre.
He is an appointed Honorary Legal Adviser to the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, the College of Family Physicians Singapore and the Singapore Medical Association.
