The Guan Choon Foundation was established by the Chan sisters to honour the legacy of their late parents, Mr Chan Eng Guan and Mdm Tan Lai Choon.
Mr Chan Eng Guan and Mdm Tan Lai Choon were devoted parents who instilled in their children the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. Their life journey deeply influenced the family’s philanthropic vision, rooted in the belief that access to proper medical care is a basic necessity that no one should have to struggle to afford.
Guided by their legacy, the Chan sisters established the Guan Choon Foundation with The Community Foundation of Singapore to give back to the community in meaningful ways. Their commitment is reflected in their ongoing efforts to support healthcare, education, and social welfare, with a special focus on assisting the marginalised and those in need. Through this foundation, the sisters ensure that their parents’ values live on – making a lasting impact on countless lives and strengthening the spirit of compassion and generosity.
