This Vesak Day, we seek your generous donation to support our patients in their lifelong dialysis journey, through subsidized dialysis treatment and holistic care!
When both her kidneys were removed, Mdm Debra Tan’s life changed forever. Since 2023, she has depended on dialysis at NKF to stay alive.
Each dialysis session involves painful needling, with two needles inserted to access blood for treatment.
Because Debra no longer has kidneys, dialysers – often called artificial kidneys are essential to filter waste products and excess fluid from her body. Without them, survival is not possible.
Every dialyser used is another session completed. Another day lived and another precious moment with family and loved ones. For Debra and many others, dialysers are not just medical supplies, they are hope and life itself.
Each year, kidney failure patients undergo 156 dialysis sessions, an exhausting rhythm that demands immense physical strength and emotional resilience. The journey can be long and overwhelming, but they do not walk it alone.
At NKF, we walk alongside them, providing not only dialysis treatment but also psychosocial care, nutritional counselling and transport support, helping them stay strong throughout their journey.
This Vesak Day, in The Spirit of Benevolence, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact. Our goal is to raise $250,000 towards subsidising dialysis and providing holistic care for our patients. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps alleviate their financial burden and ensures they continue receiving the critical care they need.
Your generosity can bring hope and relief to those who need it most. Together, we can make a lasting difference in their lives.
