Congratulations to the winners of the Postcard Design Contest 2018!
TOP 3
Group A (7-9 years old)
1st Prize
Yang Yayan, 9, Poi Ching School
My mummy prepares a glass of water for me every morning. It keeps me hydrated and prepares me for a busy day ahead.
I’d like to share this habit with my friends so that we all live a healthy life. Water is better than soft drinks.
Thank you, mummy, for all you have done for me.
2nd Prize
Yang Zhengyu, 6, Poi Ching School
While a lot of kids know its important to stay healthy, they may not realise the importance of drinking water to stay healthy.
We should start our day with a glass of water because good water drinking habits and regular exercise keeps us healthy 🙂
3rd Prize
Tan Kae Lyn, 7, St Hilda’s Primary School
My mummy and I are in the park. We exercise regularly and always remember to drink water. This is to keep our body and kidneys healthy.
TOP 3
Group B (10-12 years old)
1st Prize
Regine Ong, 12, CHIJ-St Nicholas Girls School (Primary)
I decided to take part in this competition as the prizes were amazing. I wanted to give it a try. I made the postcard colourful so that it will catch the attention of others. I wanted it to be bright to bring joy to others. I hope my postcard will inspire others to take care of their health and drink more water. I was also inspired to thank my best friend Adelle for her friendship so I gave my best to design this postcard.
2nd Prize
Moh Journ, Haydn, 10, Beacon Primary School
A lot of people think that plain water is boring. I want to show them the fun side of drinking water. Although it may taste plain, its beneficial to our health.
So don’t wait, drink up!
3rd Prize
Hui Anjie, Elliott, 10, Maris Stella High School (Primary)
This postcard encourages people to drink more water. When we drink water, we will produce more urine which flushes out infection-causing bacteria and hence keeps our kidney functioning well.
TOP 3
Group C (13-21 years old)
1st Prize
Kelly Teo Jing Wen, 16, Pei Hwa Secondary School
This postcard encourages people to hydrate themselves constantly with water and not drinks with high sugar levels, as consuming them in high amounts will ultimately damage our kidneys. The dark colours explain how the intake of sugary drinks should be limited.
2nd Prize
Tan Yan Fei, 14, Teck Whye Secondary School
We drink water to help our organs, such as our kidneys, to work and carry us through the day. It’s just like how a robot needs fuel to start up its engines.
3rd Prize
Ong Lance Cedrick Marinas, 14, Maris Stella High School (Primary)
I wanted to show an image of healthy kidneys and encourage people through this positivity. Therefore, I imagined the kidneys being healthy and laying around while bathing in the sunlight.

“Get Your Day going with a glass of water. Drinking water helps our kidneys function well, and keeps them healthy and hydrated as it removes waste from our blood. So let’s drink up to better health!”
This contest serves as a platform for students to showcase their creativity through traditional/digital art, to raise awareness on the importance of water consumption and to drink up to better health.
