This Vesak Day, join us in support of NKF patients navigating their lifelong dialysis journey!
Mdm Lim Boon Yew, 61, has been receiving dialysis treatment at NKF since 2022. Like many kidney failure patients, she relies on life-saving dialysis to sustain her life. This treatment demands both physical and emotional resilience. Each session involves the painful process of needling, where two needles are inserted into her body to access the blood for treatment. This happens three times a week, with each session lasting up to four hours.
In a year, patients like Mdm Lim must undergo 156 dialysis sessions, resulting in 312 needle insertions. Over time, they are left with permanent lumps and scars on their arms, serving as a constant reminder of their ongoing struggle and debilitation. Despite these hardships, they continue to face each day with incredible courage and determination.
To support these resilient individuals, NKF provides comprehensive care, including psychosocial support, nutritional counselling, and transport subsidies – helping them regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.
In the spirit of benevolence this Vesak Day, we aim to raise $280,000 towards subsidising dialysis and providing holistic care for our patients. Every contribution, no matter the amount, alleviates the financial burden they face and ensures that no patient is denied life-saving care.
Your generosity can bring hope and relief to those who need it most. Together, we can make a lasting difference in their lives.
Support us this Vesak Day to amplify The Spirit of Benevolence!
Your generous donation will be entitled to a tax-deduction of 2.5 times of your donation amount and will be automatically included in your tax assessment.
* Your donation supports all NKF patients, including those receiving treatment at NKF dialysis centres supported by temples.
Your care and compassion this Vesak Day help our patients rebuild their lives and face the future with renewed hope!
Thank You for Your Support!
