Guided by NKF’s mission in Giving Life & Hope, NKF delivered over 750,000 dialysis treatments across our 45 dialysis centres islandwide, serving about 5,500 patients in our last financial year. With dialysis costing nearly $3,000 per month without subsidies, we remain committed to ensuring that no patient is denied quality care because of financial circumstances.
Beyond dialysis, NKF believes every patient deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest. Widely recognised as the optimal treatment for kidney failure, a kidney transplant offers patients the chance to regain their independence, pursue their aspirations and embrace life beyond dialysis. Yet, many medically suitable individuals never take the first step to join the transplant waiting list due to a limited understanding of the transplant journey, financial concerns and uncertainty about what lies ahead.
At NKF, we believe these barriers should never stand between a patient and the opportunity for a new lease of life. Centred on the theme “Life, Reimagined”, this dinner seeks to gazette NKF’s commitment to improving access to kidney transplantation and spotlight its transformative impact. Through this event, we aim to raise $600,000 to support kidney transplant initiatives, including public education and awareness, advocacy for living kidney donation and financial assistance to help patients navigate the transplant journey.
