Thanks to compassionate donors and supporters, the Charity Dinner in commemoration of NKF’s 49th anniversary, raised over $934,000 to benefit needy kidney patients. The event saw renowned chefs produce exquisite cuisines with less sugar, salt and oil as part of our efforts to engage and empower people to lead healthy lifestyles and adopt good eating habits to prevent kidney disease!
NKF and the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) will join hands once again to organise a Charity Gala Dinner on 19 April 2018 at Swissotel The Stamford to raise funds for needy kidney patients in conjunction with our 49th Anniversary.
We are currently serving over 4,200 patients, about two-thirds of the total kidney patient population in Singapore. They are getting older, sicker and their needs continue to evolve and become more complex now, compounded by increasing diabetic, hypertensive and obesity rates. 99% of our patients received subsidy with 50% of patients paying zero, and another 12% paying $1 to $50 a month, despite the high cost of treatment of $25,000 a year. With your support, we will continue finding ways to refine our treatment and provide greater support so that our patients can lead to a better quality of life.
Through this event, we hope to motivate more people to eat healthy, thus achieving both happiness and wellness. Guests will also be treated to exciting performances and an intriguing live & silent auction. All funds raised from this event will go entirely to benefit needy kidney patients.
We seek your support by purchasing charity tables at $10,000 per table for 10 persons. Your kind donation will be entitled to a tax deduction of 2.5 times of your donation amount. We look forward to all of you joining us for an amazing and enlightening evening to celebrate Life & Hope.
