You may only submit one project at a time, as the resources required to carry out a project to completion takes time. If you wish to apply for the seed fund again, you should complete the approved project successfully before submitting a new project. In the new application, you will be required to indicate the previous project name that you received the KWC funding for. Do also explain how this latest project is different/better than the previous.

Most definitely. If you do not require funding, our Volunteer Management team will be in touch with you upon receiving your application. However, the fund is made available to help you further extend your reach for the project, so do consider whether the funding can be of support to you.

We acknowledge that kidney failure is a concern worldwide. However, the focus for this seed funding is for Singapore-based projects and should benefit the local community.

Reimbursement will be computed based on the actual qualifying costs incurred i.e., the amount spent or approved budget, whichever is lower. Project teams that overspent would have to absorb the additional expenditure on their own.

We will provide as much advice and support your project team before submission to the evaluation panel. In the unfortunate circumstances that your project did not pass the evaluation panel, we will provide further suggestions to help improve your project application. You may submit another application.

Successful project teams must be represented by their group leader or project applicant and one other project team member for the signing and briefing. The group members are welcomed to join in if they are available.

All relevant media and publicity-related materials are to be approved by NKF before production or release. Teams should send in their materials or media release at least a week before the release date.

Teams are allowed to have project sponsors and other sources of funding. Please ensure that all sources are recorded in the Statement of Account.

Teams must submit their application with the relevant authorities to obtain approval.

Yes. If the purpose of your project is to utilise the seed fund as capital for fundraising efforts, in support of NKF. However, teams are to adhere to the 30/70 rule set by NCSS: the total expenditure incurred should not exceed 30% of the total income generated by the project.

Teams that plan to conduct a fundraising project will need to sign a Letter of Agreement with NKF prior to the execution.

Most definitely. Please record the respective volunteer hours to be issued accurately and clearly and submit it together with the Project Closure Form. Each volunteer sheet should detail the following: volunteer name, email address, volunteering activity date and hours spent. Volunteer hours include time spent planning, preparing and executing any volunteer activity, programme or event. Please drop an email to volunteer@nkfs.org if you require more information or endorsement.

A letter of service will be provided upon request, after attainment of a minimum of 24 volunteering hours. Do drop an email to volunteer@nkfs.org to request for a letter of service.

The evaluation panel consists of professionals from media and health agencies, who are committed to health issues and reaching out to the community. If you are required to present to the panel, we will inform you of the panel members before the interview date.

The seed funding granted is not transferrable to any person(s) outside of the team. In the situation that the team is unable to continue with their project, the team is liable to repay NKF the full sum of the 40% seed fund that was granted to them.

For sponsorship, please reflect the value of the sponsorship/retail price of the item(s) in the Statement of Accounts under Resources, and indicate the item(s) that have been sponsored.

Yes, the focus of the KWC Movement (Project Impact) is to support and encourage groups to seek ways to do good for the community by bringing people together and addressing a social need. However, your will need to weave in kidney health awareness in your project to encourage the community to care for their health as part of the Kidney We Care Movement.  

No, the project can only commence after the Form of Agreement is signed. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to present to an evaluation panel within 2 weeks from the date of submission. Successful applicants will receive an email notification within 2 weeks after the presentation, and will be required to attend a briefing and sign the Form of Agreement.

The application form and proposal needs to be submitted at least 8 weeks before the commencement of the project.

No, as this funding is open to all Singaporeans and Singapore PRs. We would require the group IC to be Singaporean or Singapore PR, as for non-Singaporeans/PR, they are welcome to join the group as a member.
